Marathon 2.

Outfit decided on.

Nutrition bought x3

Now... pacing to figure out.
How the heck am I going to run this thing.

Goal A: 4:00
Goal B: less than 4:30
Goal C: less than 5

In reality I have no idea how I am going to feel. 
I just know I want to beat my previous time of 5:03.

Goal A should probably NOT be my goal... 
but hey why race if you are not going push yourself?

At least I know I my outfit will be cute!!

How do you go into a race? 
Do you RACE... how many goals do you set?

  1. Love the outfit! I always think it's smart to make three realistic goals and then adjust as needed during the race. Good luck to you!

    I'm not very fast so I dont RACE RACE, but I tend to race myself... constantly pushing for a PR unless I definitely know that I'm hurt and shouldn't push myself and then I just relax and enjoy the moment :)

    My first goal is always to have fun.
    Then I do a time goal of A, B, and C. C being to just to get across the dang finish line. :-)

  7. Ok. So you PR'd your half marathon with a sub 8:40 minute mile.
    Let's say that you run this at a 9 minute mile pace to a 9:30 pace. That has you completing the full in less than 4 hours and 15 minutes. Can you do that? I say FUCK YEAH!!!
    I say program your garmin for a 9:15 pace alert and you PR the shit out of this race!
    Having said that, I didn't look at the race profile so I have no idea of elevation loss and gain. But I still say ROCK THIS!!!
